Does Sunscreen Really Expire?

Does Sunscreen Really Expire?

Memorial Day Weekend is here. So as you rummage through your closet for sunscreen, take a second to think ‘Does this stuff expire?”

The answer is YES.

Sunscreen has a shelf life of about a year. After that point the chemicals that protects you from harmful UV rays starts to break down so the protection begins to fade. This process is sped up when the sunscreen is exposed to heat.

Basically, don’t chance it. Whenever you bought it last year, it’s last year’s sunscreen and needs to be replaced.
